Fishing with Veterans
Thank you to Veterans and their Families.
Our troops deserve our prayers for strength, endurance, and safety.
At Mike Doll Fishing Guide and Charter Captain Experience LLC we enjoy taking our brave service men and women out for an enjoyable day of fishing at Lake of the Ozarks. We believe showing these Heroes and their families our appreciation, no matter where you are, is important. These men and women and their families are heroes, and they have all given so much of themselves for our freedom. We believe in offering a “Thank You for your service” is the very least we can do. When we get the special opportunity to take a veteran fishing, we take it a step further, we demonstrate to these Heroes our respect, honor, and gratitude. Then we hand them a fishing rod and do our solemnly best to deliver a relaxing productive day on the lake.
Not long ago I heard a veteran speak at a National Wild Turkey Federation meeting in Indiana, he led the 350+ people attending in the following prayer. A moving experience to say the least. But to see this veteran, decades after his tour was over, deliver this prayer on stage you knew he still lives his life this way. And when he said his brothers and sisters are veterans, you knew he meant it.
A VETERAN PRAYER
I TOOK A DNA TEST AND GOD IS MY FATHER
“I AM A VETERAN. I HAVE SEEN AND DONE THINGS YOU MAY NOT UNDERSTAND. I AM A WARRIOR. I WILL NEVER ACCEPT DEFEAT. I WILL NEVER QUIT AND I WILL NEVER LEAVE A FALLEN BROTHER OR SISTER. IF THEY ARE HURT, I WILL CARRY THEM. IF I CAN’T CARRY THEM, I WILL DRAG THEM. I WILL HELP THEM FACE THEIR ENEMIES, TO INCLUDE THE DEMONS FROM WITHIN. THEY ARE MY BROTHERS & MY SISTERS. I AM A VETERAN.”

We are happy to customize your needs for fishing with the resources we have. Unfortunately, we do not have wheelchair access. We can pick you up at your dock, or you can meet us at our dock, or several other places on the lake. We do have access to a pickup location with elevators. If you have a special need, we will do our best to accommodate you on our boat.

Our wounded warriors and their families deserve better treatment than each of us.
I pray each of us takes a moment of silence from time to time to honor our fallen heroes, and all veterans. I appreciate all the patriots who have chosen to change all our lives and theirs unselfishly. For all our freedom.
Our veterans protect our rights and freedoms, they also provide services and aid to those in need. They are the first on the scene providing medical aid, food, and water at a level no other country can come close to during disasters both home and abroad.
